During the academic years 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, student groups of the Law School of AUTH participated in the International Criminal Law Competition in Hague, organized by the International Criminal Court.
The teams worked under the scientific supervision of Mrs. Elisavet Symeonidou-Kastanidou, Professor of the Law School of AUTH. Responsible for the preparation of the teams was Mr. Ioannis Naziris, Doctor of Law, with the assistance of Mr. Konstantinos Chatzikostas, Lecturer of Law (konstantinoscha@law.auth.gr).
At its first participation in the abovementioned competition in April 2013, the AUTH team won two awards. Specifically:
(a) the Best Prosecution Team Award (combination of written and oral submissions).
(b) the Best Non-Native English Speaking Team Award (leaving “behind” major Universities of Central and South America, Asia and Africa).
Although the team participated for the first time in this competition in 2013, it ranked 4th among 60 universities around the world.
